Otolift, known in the Netherlands for its stairlifts, has built a successful partnership with Sortimo over the years. What began as a simple vehicle interior setup has evolved into a strategic collaboration that puts individuality and sustainability at the forefront.
A Smart Choice for the Future
From DIY to Collaboration
In the past, Otolift’s mechanics designed and built the interiors of their vehicles themselves. While this seemed like a practical solution, it was also time-consuming and costly—considering the mechanics’ working hours and the cost of materials!
For that reason, Otolift decided to outsource this task. Coincidentally, the Dutch branch of Sortimo was located in Bergambacht at the time—just like Otolift. And that’s how the collaboration began, with a simple vehicle setup.
42 Peugeot Partner Vehicles
Today, this collaboration has grown significantly. For the latest project — equipping 42 Peugeot vehicles from the “Partner” model series — choosing Sortimo was a logical step for Otolift. Because for Otolift, it’s not just about getting a good price: the strong relationship with Sortimo and the trust in their service make all the difference.
Personalization for Ergonomics and Sustainability
An important aspect of the collaboration was the development of a customized vehicle setup. Sortimo worked closely with several Otolift ambassadors to design the ideal layout. Sustainability — also in terms of people — was high on the agenda.
For example, Otolift’s installers lift heavy 20-kilogram boxes out of their vehicles every day. Through intelligent, ergonomic design, Otolift aims to ensure that its employees can continue to work comfortably and without strain all the way to retirement.
Everything Under One Roof
Sortimo offers more than just vehicle equipment. For Otolift, Sortimo is a reliable partner that manages the entire process:
- Designing the interior setup
- Planning and installation
- Calibrating the tools
- Applying vehicle graphics
- Delivering fully equipped vehicles
All of this is coordinated from Sortimo’s Dutch headquarters in Moordrecht, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for both Otolift and its leasing company.
Perfect Execution
The implementation of the project went smoothly. Otolift’s mechanics exchanged their vehicles at Sortimo in Moordrecht in small batches. During these days, every detail was perfectly organized: Otolift was given its own room, workspace in the workshop, and even lunch. This level of service highlights the close connection between the two companies.
On December 17, 2024, the project was completed with the delivery of the final five electric Peugeot “Partner” vehicles. J&T Autolease and the dealer Van Mossel were also present for this milestone, giving the project a celebratory conclusion.

The collaboration between Otolift and Sortimo in the Netherlands is a great example of how partners can empower each other. By focusing on sustainability, ergonomics, and mutual trust, both companies are building a shared future where efficiency and people take center stage.
